People going to california

As of 11 PM Tuesday February 17th, these are the people going to San Francisco. I will give you until 2:00 tomorrow if there needs to be any changes to this list. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. I told you that if you didn't tell me, I would NOT include you in the attending list. *cough*andrewlum*cough*

So. Going to San Fran:

-me
-my dad
-Alan
-Alan's parent(s)
-Julien
-Julien's mom
-Brian
-Connor
-Justin
-Justin's parent(s)

Which means we need a minimum of four hotel rooms. We will make every effort to put as many people as possible per room to try and keep costs to a minimum.
Hotels appear to be $100 - $120 per night per room. The more people in each room, the more economical this will be. With four people per room, it comes out to $200 per person.

There will also be expenses associated with:
-Food ~$200 per person
-Rental Car + gas + parking ~$50 per person
- it's a one hour drive from the airport to the hotel, and 15-20 minutes from the hotel to the competition.

This is $450 per person without airfare. We need to split up the remaining ticket costs for the students fairly.

It looks like about $500 per person.

In the past, we have had each student provide a check prior to the trip so that credit cards can be used to reserve plane tickets and hotel rooms. I want to purchase the plane tickets this week so that we can secure the lowest price possible. All these details will be worked out this week as all our parents get into an email loop and refine our plans.

It looks like we'll be flying out of sarasota at 7 AM 4/21, stopping over in Atlanta, flying from Atlanta to San Francisco and arriving around noontime. We can leave 11 PM 4/26 and get to SRQ at 9 AM 4/27, OR leave 7 AM 4/27 and get home around 1 PM. The problem with the second leave time is that it requires an additional night of hotels. It would be good if we can fly out the 26th. This doesn't mean EVERYONE has to leave the 26th... if your family wants to hang back and leave in the morning, that's cool too.

Email my dad - jcurhan@hydrogelvision.com - if you or your parents have any questions.

The other thing I wanted to talk about is the actual registration for the event.
For EVERYONE going (parents included) I need several things:
- birthdate
- address
- and a small headshot photo

EMAIL ME - guiswim7391@yahoo.com - with this for you (and your parents if they're going).

I want everyone to read this PDF that we will all have to sign. It talks about the rules and regulations with respect to the filming of the competition. When I bring it to you to sign next tuesday, you will need to know your SSN to fill in on the form. DON'T FORGET! When all students have signed, I will give you the signature page for your parents to sign. DON'T LOSE IT.

Hopefully this will be another fun, successful, safe trip.

Actually, I'm not going to San Fran because missing a week of school is too much. Miami I could go, though.
